Perforated rock, Chaco Canyon
The
geology of Chaco Canyon is revealed by the erosion of
wind and water. Numerous geologic eras are revealed in
the strata of the rock faces, including a prominent layer
of fossilized shells and the fossil remains of an ancient
shrimp burrows.
