The
sun sets on an ancient culture at Chaco Canyon
Sure,
it sounds poetic, but it's hard not to feel that way when
you're walking in the footsteps -and bedrooms of an ancient
people. Of course, the ancient culture didn't really disappear
when the sun set. After a prolonged drought, they migrated
to new areas and became the Zuni, the Hopi, the Pueblo,
and other "new" tribal cultures of the region
who still follow many of the ways of their ancestors.
