Fragments of Chacoan pottery, known as potsherds, at Pueblo
Alto, Chaco Culture National Historic Park
The
Chacoan people created beautiful pottery with white and
black designs. Other colors and designs on pottery found
in Chaco Canyon ended up there through a trade network
that stretched thousands of miles. The remains of Scarlet
Macaws from southern Mexico were found in the ruins of
Chaco Canyon.
