Viewing platform at Colorado National Monument. This view from the rim of Monument Canyon looks over the Grand Valley of Western Colorado. The drop-off is about a thousand feet to the canyon bottom and despite the fence, is likely to produce a few butterflies in your stomach when you lean over and look down. The Book Cliffs lie on the other side of the valley.
