Petroglyph
of a Shaman
There
is no proof that this rock art above the doorway is really
of a shaman or rain spirit, but the Ancestral Puebloan
people were very spiritual and part of their daily life
involved rites and rituals. Much of the art produced by
the inhabitants of the great houses in the Four Corners
region was symbolic of the spirits and forces they paid
tribute to.
