Looking
down on Chaco Canyon from the mesa top
Chaco
Canyon is in a remote part of northwestern New Mexico,
reached by 20 miles of primitive dirt roads. The geology
is as impressive as the ruins, which date to the year
800. The great house ruins of Pueblo Bonito, and other
associated ruins in and around Chaco Canyon once housed
hosted or housed up to thousands of Ancestral Puebloan
people.
