Looking into the ruins of Kin Kletso
In
Chaco Canyon, nature may be slow, but it is patient and
persistent. Rain, wind and blowing sand, weeds rooting
between bricks, and freezing water all take their gradual
toll on the Ancient Puebloan ruins. When you add human
impacts such as: vandalism, tourist traffic, acid rain,
or even the potential for earthquakes from a local boom
in oil and gas extraction, you have to marvel that so
much in Chaco Canyon remains intact.
